The Los Angeles Kings took 45 years to win their first championship. One Kings fan wished and hoped for this day to come for 25 years. That’s one huge sigh of relief for one Edward de la Fuente.
Young athlete gets drunk and does dumb things in public? Not shocking. In the end, they’re just people and susceptible to the same lapses in judgement and the same proclivity towards stupidity that we all are.

Gary Bettman, apparently wistful for the days of the Sutter brothers, Mike Bossy and Bryan Trottier winning four straight Stanley Cups (a period in which Bettman worked for the NBA), opined that the team should remain on Long Island lest they re-locate a half-hour into the biggest city (and media market) in America. Oh, and geographically is on the same island.
A bunch of people had a brain fart when they decided to hurl racist insults at NHL player Joel Ward, who is black. Unfortunately, these things are par for the course in society these days.
